IP-Control 3 Update Procedure

2. Installing the new firmware

All available IP-Controls in the local network will be discovered and listed in the lower left part. If one is selected, it becomes red framed and the update paramters will show up on the lower right part. Please fill in the authentification data and choose the new firmware image. If you want to do a complete reset (including network settings) check the "reset network" box. With a click on "Start IP-Control Update" the firmware image gets loaded into the IP-Control and a dialog will approve the success of this step. Some seconds later the IP-Control will restart and verify and install the new firmware. Please do not cut the IP-Control from its power supply in any cases!

3. Update postprocessing

If the option „Reset Network settings“ has been enable before updating, the IP-Control will start with it's default IP 192.168.1.10 and HTTP port 80. Else it will start with the previous network settings.

LED Codes

During the update, the IP-Control LEDs will show the current status. The upper LED (power) is orange while the lowest one displays network traffic (blinking green / orange). The three middle LEDs are blinking depending on the current status.

Device is booting

The device is starting up, this may take up to two minutes.

Verifying firmware image

The IP-Control is verifying the new firmware image. This may take up to 5 minutes

Installing the firmware

IP-Control is now extracting and installing the firmware. This can take up to 5 minutes.

Please don't power off the IP-Control during this stage!
